URL to your eFiction: http://www.fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction
Version of eFiction: 3.3.1
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: N/A
Version of PHP: 4.4.7
Version of MySQL: 5.0.16
Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try: challenge, challenges, module
State the nature of your problem:

When I click the "Challenges" link in my menu, I receive the following error message: "Error! We encountered an error. Please go back and try again." I have corrected the link as indicated in other messages on this forum ( http://www.fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction/browse.php?type=challenges), but I continue to get the same error. My fanfiction_modules and fanfiction_challenges tables both appear to be set up correctly, so I have no idea what the problem could be. Uninstalling and reinstalling the module several times has made no difference.

Also, when I go to Admin -> Modules and click on "Options" for Challenges, I get the following error message:

Warning: main(../../header.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.aubergine/thehunter/fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction/modules/challenges/admin.php on line 25

Warning: main(../../header.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.aubergine/thehunter/fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction/modules/challenges/admin.php on line 25

Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening '../../header.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.aubergine/thehunter/fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction/modules/challenges/admin.php on line 25

Do you have a test account for us? Yes. Username and password are both test.

Check your panels in your admin area and look for a browse panel for Challenges.  It seems to be missing.

It's there. The settings are as follows:

Name: challenges
Title: Challenges
URL to Panel: browse.php?type=challenges
Level: 0
Hidden: (unchecked)
Type: B

At this point, I've read the thread on the Challenges module in the Version 3.0 Bug Report forum and managed to get the challenge page to display. However, some of the links on the page aren't working properly.

When I click on the name of a challenge or on the number of responses to view the stories written for it, I get the following error message:

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT COUNT(seriesid) FROM fanfiction_series as series WHERE FIND_IN_SET(2, challenges) > 0
Error: (1054) Unknown column 'challenges' in 'where clause'

When I click "Respond to this challenge!" the following error occurs:

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT title, seriesid FROM fanfiction_series WHERE uid = '1' AND FIND_IN_SET(2, challenges) < 1 ORDER BY title ASC
Error: (1054) Unknown column 'challenges' in 'where clause'

I am able to edit and delete challenges; however, when I click "Delete" and then click "No" on the confirmation screen, I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot break/continue 1 level in /home/.aubergine/thehunter/fried-potatoes.com/fanfiction/modules/challenges/challenges.php on line 174

Finally, when I issue a new challenge, it appears as the second challenge on the page, when it should be the first. If I add a second test challenge, though, that one appears in the correct place.

Change the panel information as instructed in the bug report forum.

Beyond that it seems like you didn't get it fully installed.  The challenges field wasn't added to the series table.

As for the order of challenges.  It's alphabetical.  There's no date on a challenge.
