My friend Jayson has PHP Fusion, and eFiction bridged together. However, users have been a little annoyed by the way the bridge works and they basically have expressed an interest in the programs being separated. I don't know about anyone else, but I frequently have problems logging in, and 70% of the time I have to log in to the forum first and then go back to eFiction. So this leads me to, can you unbridge eFiction once it's bridged without loosing all the stories/users already in the site?

No.  Not without converting the user table.

So he would have to start over completely?  Or could we re-install eFiction and paste the info to the user file? Or am I thinking it's less complicated than it is?

I think the issue has to do with the user table of eFiction.  If the site was bridged from the start that table is empty, so if you disconnect the bridge you have no users, only the user preferences.  The only way I can think to do it would be to copy the PHP Fusion user table to eFiction.  However it is probably not going to be simple, depending on what fields that script uses and how it encrypts/hashes the password.

I have no experience with PHP Fusion..so I will be of little help πŸ™

Dang, I was hoping that the 39 members that we already have subscribed wouldn't have to re-subscribe.

This is php_fusion's user table for a user.

(2, 'USERNAME', 'password', 'user@gmail.com', 1, '', '0000-00-00', '', '', '', '', '', 'Default', '0', '', '', 0, 1178411609, 1178523758, 'ipaddress', '', '', 101, 0),

This is eFictions

(2, 'Username', 'RealName', 'user@gmail.com', '', '', '2007-04-21 01:03:48', '0', 'password'),

Is it possible to just take out all the extra stuff and only put in what eFiction needs and paste it to the table?
