this is a very good bridging concept if only the admin part would work for me. haha -__-;;
i tried clearing my cookies and everything and it sill logs me into efiction as only a regular user. haha @_@
Is the site the one in your profile?
I could not tell much from that link because it was down for upgrades.
Try navigating right to the admin page and see if that works....it may just be a skin issue
yes i'm trying to bridge my www.anime-extreme.net/forum
i reinabled it from down for upgrades if you wanted to take a look.
if i try to navigate right to the admin page going through : http://www.anime-extreme.net/fanfiction/admin/index.php
i just get a page not found message even though the files are there. @_@ lol not sure where to go from here.
The admin link is
http://www.anime-extreme.net/fanfiction/admin.php
I am getting a panel SQL error trying to visit this area so there may be something else wrong.
The bridge is giving a false logged in signal. Not sure why yet...I will review my code and see if I can clean it up a bit to help prevent such a problem.
that would be great thanks π
any luck with figuring this out?
Sorry...I got a bit busy. I need to get my site updated first then I will see what I can see.
It should be working though...not sure why it is failing on your site...
There was a bug with the bridge and how it interacted with eFiction v3.3. This has been resolved on my site and I will test for tonight to make sure the bug is cleared up, then I will post the new files.
Sorry about the delay.
All files have been updated, Bridge is now correctly setting the eFiction definitions. Skin update is minor but should improve performance by using vBulletin to cache some of the templates.
I'm finally getting around to trying this out, but i've not made it far.
My admin id in my forum is '1', and i'd naturally assume its the same for my eFiction site, where i'm the only registered user as of now.
But i get...
You are not authorized to access that function.
As a message when i click login on my eFiction install.
Can you post or PM me the url of your site and eFiction install.
What login link are you clicking? The eFiction one should do nothing since you will already be logged in from vBulletin.
You have been PM'd - i'm not exactly retarded when it comes to this kind of stuff, but your bridge is way beyond anything i can do.
Thanks for helping π
We just noticed an oversight in my instructions. Putting eFiction and vBulletin on different sub-domains causes a cookie problem that prevents you from being able to login.
I am not sure there is a better solution than not doing that, but I will look into it a bit and see if I find anything. Until then I will update the instructions to reflect that.
Hi, i have a problem when i try to view a user profile (viewuser.php)
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT *, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(date) as date FROM user as author LEFT JOIN fanfiction_authorprefs as ap ON ap.uid = author.userid WHERE author.userid = '1' LIMIT 1
Error: (0)
I included the profile.php file into the zip. This should have been there before, but I must have missed it. Upload that file to you /user/ directory and try again.
