Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try: blocks, columns, "format block"
State the nature of your problem: When making the site using the default configuration, everything is scrunched to the left side of the screen and blocks are running together due to no defining borders.
Do you have a test account for us? not at this time but one could be easily created.
My question is probably one I do not want to hear the answer to, but from what I'm reading all blocks are set up in the tpl files and css is done there, correct? So no dynamic way of visualizing block locations? I see sites like http://www.made-by-kali.com/eFiction30/" ;">Kali's E-Zine page, but I can't get the columns/blocks to fall where I want.
Is this something that can be done in the Admin panel and I'm just missing it or do I have to mess with the files on my server?
Yes, you need to edit the skin .tpl files yourself. If you have a basic grasp of html/css, it's fairly easy to do. If you don't already have that knowledge, you can download and take a look at some skins you like and study them until you get an idea of what does what.
Skins made by Kali are no longer supported!
Okay, thanks. I've been blowing stuff away and starting from scratch a lot. But at least now I have a direction. Thanks!
