I would like to add one more field to the storyform, which gives the original date a story was written.
Can anyone help me get started?
No, but sometimes I just change the date of the published date through phpmyadmin. Just thought I'd mention an alternative.

That's what I've been doing, but I have a couple of volunteers now, and I wouldn't let them into the database!
I guess I'll update all the backdates after this project is completely done...
Still, it would be helpful for those of us who come to efiction late in our writing years, and are creating an archive for the first time.
I'm moving this to the Mods area of 3.0 since you are looking for a modification. π

I'm not sure if you're still wanting to do this, but this is the way I'd go about it:
1. Edit your table (which I think you've already done).
2. Create a .php file (you don't have to worry about including your header or pagesetup) and on that page, use a simple form to add the information in.
If you're still out there somewhere wanting to do this but don't know how, let me know and I will do it for you. I'd do it anyway but I have a newborn and time is limited, LOL.
