After I upgraded..

okay, did you have any problems or errors in the upgrade process itself?

Do you have your stories saved as files, or in the database? My guess about the stories is that it is looking for the story text in the wrong place. Try checking your settings.

For the user problems and log-in, try reuploading the /user folder.

Ahh, no problems, but you were right about the /user folder. ^^ I can login! I have stories saved as files, yes. <3

but it's just a review page.. I've checked the settings, and I believe it to be correct... Or, it could be that the stoy just isn't showing on the page, and that is the normal review at the bottom?  http://animefiction.net/viewstory.php?sid=552&textsize=0&chapter=3

I think there should be text  on that page, but there isn't.. Any suggestions? Thanks so very much for all your help already! I appreciate it so much!

To fix it, like I said, your settings are probably looking for the story text in the wrong place. If it's set to look for the story text in files, but you have it in the database, nothing with show up, and vice versa. Check your settings and try to resubmit your settings by changing them to the other one first and submitting, and then changing it back.

^-^;; Can you tell me where to change my settings at? x_x; I've changed them before.. Now I can't find the link.. I'm sorry, I'm pretty stressed.. I can't focus. Thanks for all your help.

Your site seems to be down, but from the errors you posted it looks like you're missing some files.  Your login problem is because the user/login.php file is missing.  Which is exactly what the error told you:

Warning: main(user/login.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/animefic/public_html/user.php on line 34

--Sigh-- I'm having these massive FTP errors with my host, and the connection keeps dropping and then my ftp just goes back to my main folder, making me think everything went through.. Will it hurt to reupload everything? Thanks so much, Tammy & Jan.

Reuploading everything should be good. I reupload my files often, it doesn't hurt anything.

Since you've said you've had trouble with your FTP, check to see if your stories folder and the folders within it has the right permissions as well.  It should be 777 or 755.  Dependent upon what you use for your FTP, there should be an CHMOD option you can click on or select from right clicking on the file folders your want to change your permissions.  Click/select CHMOD and change it to 777 or 755 if it's not already.  Try 777 first and if that won't take, then try 755 [some hosts want 755 for folders].

Also for your settings, make sure your story saving options read like this:  Save Files in Files [make sure Files in the drop down is selected and the check box beside it is checked] and that Stories Path: has just the word stories in it [or whatever the folder with all your stories is named.].  You can verify this by going here Admin>Settings>Submission Settings

See if that maybe doesn't fix your other problem.  🙂
