URL to your eFiction: http://fiction.allihave.net
Version of eFiction: 3.5.1
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: Nope
Version of PHP: php5 i believe, i was searching on dreamhost
Version of MySQL: mysql5 i believe, same situation as above
Have you searched for your problem: yeah
If so, what terms did you try: I found https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=6159.0 but it's not exactly the same error though similar. I also saw I posted the same error 1+ years ago but had put it in the wrong thread.
State the nature of your problem: I've listed it below.
Do you have a test account for us? Nope

I'm the head admin and I have another person as an admin with me. When I click Admins, I see the two of us listed then when I attempt to click on one of our names I get the following error:

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT author.penname as penname, level, categories, contact FROM fanficfanfiction_authors as author LEFT JOIN fanficfanfiction_authorprefs as ap ON ap.uid = author.uid WHERE author.uid = '1' LIMIT 1
Error: (1052) Column 'level' in field list is ambiguous

Was this an upgraded archive?  You shouldn't have a level column in the authors table.  Use phpMyAdmin to delete it and you should be good to go.  If it was an upgraded archive, this indicates some of upgrade script didn't run properly at some point.  You may have other issues.

It's a fresh install where I"m uploading the database from an older install from a different server. I tried what you said but then I got this when I tried to go to Admin - Admins :

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT author.penname as penname, level, categories, contact FROM fanficfanfiction_authors as author LEFT JOIN fanficfanfiction_authorprefs as ap ON ap.uid = author.uid WHERE author.uid = '43' LIMIT 1
Error: (1052) Column 'categories' in field list is ambiguous

Your database version needs to match the version of the files.  You can't do what you're trying. Find out what version your database is.  Load THAT version of eFiction then upgrade.
