I had no idea how to word this in the title, but some of my sites members are confused on the "Track This Story" option. They think that it will send them an email when the story updates. I've put up a special page explaining the features but we all know some people just don't pay attention.
So, I was wanting to add some text beside where it says (track this story). Maybe something like (Must add to Fav's list for email updates and change preferences in Account Info)

I imagine I can try to come up with something shorter. That's kind of long.

Anyway, do I change this in the Languages.php?

I saw:

define("_TRACKTHIS", "Track this Story");

And wondered if I could just add this on here? But then I worried that the whole line would be linked instead of "Track this Story". I'm not even sure if this is the place to change it, so I thought I'd ask.

Also would this show up in the story header as well as the search block if I change this here?

Yes.  That's what you would change and the whole text would be included in the link.  As you said though, it's pretty long to add text to.

Maybe just changing the name would be better. There's probably something that takes away the implication of emails. Maybe like bookshelf or story vault.

OK I tried it, but it wouldn't work right.

What about adding a text line beside where it says "Track This Story" ? If you look at where I have it located at on the story block (I think that's what you call it) Or Listing, It's on the very bottom. So could I just add some sort of text to show up beside it instead of just renaming it or adding text to the actual languages.php?

Thanks, ladies.

That's a user-only feature, so we'd have to have a test account to see it. But you can add whatever text you want to your skins near the link.

OK, I was able to get it on all the skins except the "Scribbled Too". That skin does not like me for some reason. I've had to modify it more than the others but I love it, so it's worth it.
Anyway, I wanted to put it above the "Review" Box on each story but every time I did, it would end up waaaay out in left field somewhere and not centered just above it.
So, I added it to the listings.php and it shows up under the the "Track This Story" function now. Woot!

Thanks for everyone's help. That was a hard one to figure out for me because i wasn't sure how the coding should start. I get all the other crap that comes with it but the lines and /div things confuse me sometimes.
