I had to export all the MYSQL files to my server and copy the public_html in my servers as well.
I can't possibly come to a conclusion to how this would effect the 'Add New Story' but it seems Admin can only add new stories. If a regular user tries to add a new story, it comes up with "You are not authorized to access that function."
However, a regular user can perfectly add a "new series." Obviously, this is a permissions problem. I have gone into the Admin >> Panels
For permissions, I have Add New Story set to:
stories.php?action=newstory
1
S
And then, again, because the script came with two add new stories functions:
stories.php?action=addstory
1
U
I have changed the links, made them the same, etc....still not working. Suggestions?
Also, if I make a new person an admin, it'll let them add stories, but it won't let them change the admin. Let me know, thanks.
Go to Admin> Settings >Submission Settings and set "Turn of unsolicited submissions" to no.
Go to Admin> Settings >Submission Settings and set "Turn of unsolicited submissions" to no.
Thank you...that works.
Also, do you know what's going on with the admin problem?
My new admin account will say after attempting to access admin:
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
No, I don't have any idea what's causing that. You might want to start a new topic. It's not generally a good idea to have two issues in the same thread, and your title does not indicate that there are two issues here.
