Hi can anyone tell me how i can add a new block so i can put some of our favourite websites as links into it.
I have found numerous help about 'inititialising a new block' but i want to be able to 'add a new block' so we can update the weblink list on a regular basis.
Any help would be appreciated.

No chance of just creating a "fake" block and doing it through templates? 🙂

How would i create a fake block? I tried to add one by just copying one of the other blocks and renaming all the values to the new name but i get errors on the site. Am i suppose to create a new table in my php admin??

I think what she meant was open the index.tpl, find where you want to place it and then just do:
<div class="block">
<div class="title">Links</div>
<div class="content">URLs Here</div>
</div>
Example: http://rq.citadelofthewolf.com/index.php (Look near the end of the left hand side of the screen for Writing Links)
Granted when you do this you have to update all the index.tpls for each skin when you want to add more links, but it might help for the mean time.

Maybe if we ask nicely, we can get someone to create a real block in the admin section to do this, but with everything else being fixed, it might take awhile.
