Hi,

I wanted to add authors to my browse (at the moment it lists: categories, challenges, characters, genres, ratings, series, titles and warnings)

I went into admin, added a new panel
authors
Authors
url:  ??????
level : 0
unchecked hidden
type: B

it showed up on the browse list okay but i have no idea what to do for the url

i tried authors.php for the url, but no luck there (it was only a guess) I looked in my broswe folder and noticed the list in that included: categories, characters, class, featured, index ratings recent series titles toplists

thanks
jacci

As you saw in the browse folder, you'll need to write a panel if you want to do what you're talking about.  The characters browse panel is probably closest (browse/characters.php)  to what you're wanting to do.

Hi Tammy

I opened up the characters.php in the broswe folder, took one look and screamed quietly, closed it promptly and decided for now i could live without it in my broswe. I think i will just add the link to the maiin menu instead.

I will peruse it and give it a go, although i doubt i will have much success, but will be a good learning experience i should think.

I had no idea it would be that difficult and my skills as coding don't go much beyond messing with some templates and the css and varailbes files right now.

I did add my first custom page yesterday though, and i have to say that is just an awesome feature, I LOVE IT!!!

thanks

Bump.  Is this still an open issue?  If it is I'll move it to the MOD forum for you if you want to see if someone will write it for you.

If someone is willing to do a mod, i woudl love that very much.

If not, it is not that big a deal.
