Nevermind- I figured it out...
I don't suppose that there is some sort of e-mail list that I can get on to find out about security upgrades? I don't usually lurk on the boards here...
I upgraded to 2.0.7 not with the patch but by reinstalling everything over the top (which...maybe is my mistake), and now all the secondary-level categories have disappeared. Only the top-level ones show up, and even though some of them are technically supposed to be locked, it's now possible to choose them.
How can I fix this? Should I reinstall from the backup and then install the patch?

Admin->Categories and click on "Regenerate formselect.js"

When you install the security patches is it supposed to show 2.0.7? because mine still says 2.0.5.
Also, the files we are replacing are in the main directory right?
you upload the files included.. you might have missed earlier patches.

This is answered in the FAQs, "How To Upgrade".
I suggest that you simply get a full version (with or without TinyMCE), and overwrite all of your files except config.php, dbconfig.php, TinyMCE and your /skins folder.
