I am trying to add a rating code to help keep children off my site. I believe it needs to be put in the header.php. Can someone tell me how to do this? I tried to put it in myself and I guess I put it in the wrong place because it broke the page.

The RTA label is free to use, voluntary, and universally available to any website that wishes to clearly and effectively label itself as being inappropriate for viewing by minors.

Code Url: http://rtalabel.org/
Code to be placed in the header.php: <meta name="RATING" content="RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA">

Any help would be appreciated.

I've modded my header.php so try around line ~212?

"<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="._CHARSET."">"

Thank you!  πŸ˜€

And I was just referencing what on or should be near line ~212. πŸ˜›

If you find that, try adding the meta rating below it?

Mine says:

if(isset($metaDesc)) echo "<meta name='description' content='$metaDesc'>";

Does this mean I should copy that and just change what I need to? I don't want to mess it up again. lol

No, I think it's line 214:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="._CHARSET."">";

Add your new meta tag before the last quote and semicolon.

So should it look like this?

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="._CHARSET.""><meta name="RATING" content="RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA">";

Or This:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="._CHARSET.""><meta name="RATING" content="RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA">";

Thanks for the help.

Do I have all the 's in the right place? The page just keeps coming up blank when I put it in.

This is the correct code.

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="._CHARSET.""><meta name="RATING" content="RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA">";
