1. I can't read any of the images on the splash page
2. I hate splash pages...
3. ... Almost as much as I hate pop up main pages.
4. I like the efiction skin you're running. It's almost TOO simple, but it's very clean and easy to follow.

is that a compliment or an insult?

and all the images say is:

(the main one)
Unforgiving
Midnight
Fiction
click to enter

and the other says Affliliates...

oh, and the only reason it's a pop-up is because it's on a seperate server, my cgi is on a seperate server, not on the main .com account

Well, I have to agree somewhat with Xhale. The graphics text is very hard to read. I would try a different font. After the main graphic, all I see is a jumble of mess. The text where it says Scandal is interesting. What's it called btw? Though the text under Scandal, and above it is very hard to read.

As for the popup, just because it's on another site doesn't mean it has to be a popup. Can't you just directly link it? That would save alot of problems because many people have popup blockers and it might be caught by them.

My other thought was, why did you need CGI? Efiction runs off PHP. *looks confused*

Anyway, if you need any more BSB pics, let me know.... I have TONS. *CHUCKLES*

I like the idea of the graphics...when you finally figure it out it has that "Cooool" effect. My concern is if visitors finding the page will stay long enough to figure out what it says. It may be an attention grabber, or it may work to keep visitors away.

In general I am also nto a fan of splash pages, or popups for main content. Many people have popup blockers and I would be worried about people not being able to view the site. Also splash screens may hurt your Search Engine standings.

The logo on the main site loads really slow for me. Compressing it a bit may be a good idea for slower connection visitors.

As for the skin it's self I like it. Simple works well sometimes :).

because on my host you need to run ALL scripts on the CGI server, stupid I know, but that's the way it works! Also, I see what your saying on the splash page.

the only reason for the splash page leading to the pop-up is because I'm trying to refrain from having people link my CGI server. I don't want that cuz it makes my scripts run shitty. plus it makes for a shorter url, easier to remember.

and as for the main graphic, I'm keeping that the way it is, just because it's a pain in the a$$ to try and change it, well not really cuz I saved the temp because it kept closing on me. But I really do not remember how I got the effect I did on it, and I'd like to keep it that way. The top part I see is hard to read, but I really don't see the problem on the bottom part.

the font for the word SCANDAL is called Brad and I got it at http://www.dafont.com/
