Different skins/layouts can be found with the drop down list in the footer.

My favorite is the PlayBunny that I just created using a css drop down menu 🙂

It's a NASCAR fan fiction site 🙂

The drop down menu doesn't work in Firefox. I like the color scheme though.

This is the dropdown code I use at work: http://www.htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/

It works in IE7 and Firefox and IE6 if you a small javascript code in your header. The example works fine, but when you start playing with it to add some style, it can mess it up in all browsers and the fixes are sometimes baffling. But still, it works pretty well, considering the intricacies of browser CSS support for this kind of thing.

I am afriad it is not working in Opera either, and the suckerfish one doesn't survive well in opera at all. One of my subdomains uses a suckerfish and it seems fine in ie and firefox, but is a complete disaster in Opera. Unless they have updated it since then, this is a fairly old version.

They've updated it. All the ones I've done work in Opera and there are some comments in there that mention Opera.

If you want the link to verify, PM me. I'm not sure I should link to sites I've designed for work as examples in public forums.

Oh my, you know I'm too into film and television production now since I don't know what Opera is.... where can I download that at?

I tried to work with the suckerfish dropdown yesterday while I was at work and I had problems coding it the right way (design wise) so I'm going to play with it a bit more tonight.

Opera is a browser. I don't know the url to download it, but you should find it easily enough on google.

A tip on the suckerfish menu, it might be better to use this as a guideline: http://www.htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/example/. It's the same thing with some style. I couldn't get their bare-bones one to work and look pretty at the same time either.

Ohh thanks Carissa. I was devestated to find out that the suckerfish was a complete disaster on Opera and i havent bothered to go back and look. Have since moved to a dhtml system that is wisywig and avoids coding completely. Pretty much drag and drop and format like a word processor and then just use a php include, so i have become lazy in my dropdowns now. Still my subdomain webmistress will be extremely interested to hear that.

Suckerfish is great once you work out it's mystery (I think i spent about 15 solid hours getting mine right, then installed Opera and nearly screamed the room down when i saw it....lol)

Give the opera broswer a try kismetology. It is far superior in performance to ie and has more pretty things than firefox although is about the same in functionallity. www.opera.com. If you dont like it, it is easy enough to uninstall and uses much less ram than ie
