The colors you chose are nice. However, in all of your skins except writing, the banners overlap with the content in Firefox. I haven't looked at any of your tpl files, but I'm guessing you need to change the height for the banner in your css to be the actual height of the banner you're using.

Well, I don't use Firefox so I can't check that and I really had trouble figuring out how to make the text smaller as it was... and stuff like that... so until someone can help me out a LOT with that, people with firefox might have to just use the writing skin or I can put back up another of the premade skins I had until now.... cause phwew... It took me so long just to get what I have no since this is my first time doing php and I may be somewhat good with html, before now I usually used premade css for past sites or only did minimal editing to it. So yeah... I am pooped trying to figure out what I figured out so far and even if I did I have no way of checking it since I don't have firefox.

Well, I told you how to fix it. If you'll try it, I can let you know if it worked.

Also, downloading Firefox is really easy (and free).

I did not mean to sound snappy if it came across that way. (It's so hard to tell online, yeah?) I do want people to tell me if I missed anything or messed up anything obviously, since this is new for me.

I changed the header.tpl files, so hope that fixed it. ^.^

A friend with firefox checked for me after I did a bit of editing and she says it's better now. Trial and error... the major tool of technology, hehe

You'd like to think we rednecks in Georgia are all laid back and oozing with southern charm, but the fact is we're just a bunch of Pitt Bulls waiting for the moment to strike.

Actually, I am pretty laid back, if you rub my belly.

Any volunteers?

...

Drat. Anyway, the site looks good in Safari, too. Firefox is really a necessity for designing sites - it's the most standards-compliant out there, and it's the only free cross-platform (mac, windows and linux) that exists right now. There's Opera, but it's commercial.

Actually Opera is free these days. They decided with the popularity of Firefox being free that they would go that way as well. So I downloaded it when it went free (i.e., no ads) although I don't use it much except to see how websites look in it.

Just outside Atlanta, but when most people I talk to on the net learn I'm from Georgia, one of three things always come to mind:

1. Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil
2. Gone With The Wind
3. god help us, Deliverance

I suppose it's better than Designing Women though.

Skylark, have you anything to say to me...
