Since the newest version of eFiction is heavy on CSS design, I decided to try my hand at not using any HTML tables since I've recently become interested in what CSS can accomplish thanks to the Zen Garden site. I still have minor tweaking left to do, but my skins are mostly complete.

Hehe, love the ocean motiff. 🙂 I would have probbaly had Master Roshi's island on it somewhere though. But way cool. Is the middle column using it's own background or is it a semi transparent layer?
Your other site looks cool too. 🙂 I like the way you have the menu set up, it's very clear cut in the layout. I used to love lime green on black, but after hearing that such a combination hurts eyes more than a few times I haven't been able to appreciate it as much as I used to. It still looks really cool though. Have you thought of doing either a purple or a blue theme? I always see Vegeta as a blue guy.

I've never thought about using Roshi's island, but I don't think I could find a good image that's not a screencap and my Dragon Ball artbook had two beach-themed ones so I used one of them.
The middle column's in the same file as the water background. I had a little trouble with the nav since I wanted it to be expandable vertically, but darn IE for not supporting PNG alpha transparency. 😡 I had to measure how large I needed the sidebar to be and put the side border and the bottom together. The top's in the header.
(I found out the hard way that lime green doesn't belong on black in large areas of text.)
I plan on doing more layouts for the slash archive featuring each of the chars in the header. I was also thinking about doing a library theme for the gen archive, but it's not really coming together in my head.
I'll be on the lookout for a good pic of Roshi's island. I have an idea of where it could go. Thanks for suggesting that.
