After not being able to find an archive running eFiction with House fics, I decided "Why not?" and got one up. It allows original fan fiction, along with the increasingly popular MST category. Come by and check it out π

Cool, and good idea. π You're going to need a House skin though.

I have a House category on my fanfics site and it never sees much action so if you are looking for one more place to post your stories, don't hesitate to visit there too. But it's a cool idea to have a different efiction set up for different themes... as long as you don't have 50 themes I guess. LOL (can you imagine managing 50 efiction sites at once?!?)

What does MST mean?
MSTing or MiSTing is a method of mocking a show in the style of the television series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) and, in particular, is a form of fan fiction in which writers mock other works by inserting humorous comments, called "riffs", into the flow of dialogue and events.
In MSTing, the author picks a badly written piece of text and inserts mocking comments from fictional readers of the text, essentially writing a script as if the MSTing was a movie. While "standard" MSTings attribute these comments to the three main characters of the MST3K cast, others might use characters - usually (though not always) from the universe of the story being mocked. Often a prologue, epilogue, and intermissions are added in which the characters discuss a topic on the same theme as the original text, although intermission segments are usually dropped if the original work is short. Over time, the term MST has also been used to describe general fan fiction mockeries, without the use of the MST3K character-based joke format

I <u>definitely</u> do need a House skin. Buuuut 1. My knowledge of php/CSS is pretty much nonexistant, and 2. I'm beyond broke.
& Thanks for the MST definition :]
You don't need to know any php to make a skin. if you edit a skin that someone else has created (maybe just change the header graphic) then you don't really need to know any CSS either.
Working with Paint doesn't give me the greatest options out there, lol.
You can usually download free trial versions of graphics programs. That should be enough time to make a banner. You can also buy older copies, or versions, of software.
I started with Paint Shop Pro 7.0 back around 2000. After my free trial ran out, I bought it for about $20 (version 8 had come out, and 9 was on the way). It works fine for me, even now. You should be able to find cheap versions of older, used software on Amazon and ebay.

Due to some "less than great" decisions, I can't create accounts with my credit cards on eBay or Amazon or PayPal or any of that. I tried messing with PhotoShop a while back, though, with some pretty redundant results. Thanks anyway, though :]

Actually, there's a good free program that's just as good, it's called GIMP, lack of knowledge of certain things like this surprises me sometimes. and there's also Paint.NET I believe. Oh wait look, a google search turned me up this list of free editing programs π
my site also has a House category so feel free to check my site out too!

Gimp sounded promising, until I saw that it was about 14mb. For one, I'm on dial-up, and secondly, I can't keep a connection for more than thirty minutes at a time. Thanks for the idea, though, it would've been great.
