3 New Skins at Missing Pieces

The colors are nice, but the main header text is a bit choppy and not smooth. If you're the one that made the skins/and or header and are using Photoshop you should make the the text smooth (set it to smooth).

Also if you are going to offer the skins up for submissions...I'm pretty sure the coding is from kali, so you should credit her. And also the images I think they would be considered copyrighted.

Most of the banners were made by others, except 4( - and that probably result of my poor skills an artist i am not and most of photoshop remaims a mystery to me - woud rather battle the coding side of the skin...lol but thanks, i will take a look at that, didnt even know that was an option)  and i think that broken look was deliberate, although I can't say for sure. (I know the original artist - and skin maker - is particularly fond of that look and you can never read any of it... grrrr)

Pretender4 was definitely modellled from Safari, i really liked that layout, and i was very similar to our previious layout, yet a little different too.

The coding actually came from the Pretender1  skin  (which was made back when we were running efic 1 and i have no idea how that was developed and that person no longer is with the project. I took over when we upgraded to efic2 and moved to my server and i was told we could keep the skin - assuming of course somebody coudl figure out how to make the changes to get it ready for efic2)  and heavy use of the templates in the default folder. So it is very possible it was lifted from Kali originally. That person had no idea about this kind of thing at all so i can assume they found smt they liked and then jsut edited it.

Kali, if it is your original coding, then i will most certainly be happy to give you a credit. and a link to your site if you would like. If you go take a look and you think it is yours give us a poke. (altjpigh i think i will make mention that your safari scheme was what had inspired me in the first place) I have made a skin credits page, mostly to encouage ppl to submit possible banners and will be pleased to include smt there for you.

As for submissiion, i will follow all the guidelines laid out, remove the copyrighted pics and just place smt there that is simple. I have never submitted skins before and am still learning my way around making them, becoming more and more familiar now with each template (which is a briallant system too) and have even made some tiny changes in some of the php files, mostly jsut adding a line break here or there when i am unhappy with the spacing and cant figure out how to do it in a tpl file or via css.

You should definitely submit it.  I really like the color scheme.

About 3/4 of my coding came from the default .tpls so any similarity between other "container" skins and mine would hardly be surprising.  The double layer menu isn't my original idea either (I think I took the idea from the 2.0 Romance skin).

In other words, unless it visually looks significantly like mine, I don't ask for credit.

You are right, it is hard to avoid similarities in styling, after all, there is only so much you can do in a practical sense. Half my visitors are still on 800 x 600 res according to my stats, so i have been reluctant to move to a full page system yet and the contianer system we inherited seems like the best way to go.

I really liked the clean and stylish look of your skins and I guess i probably modelled from them.
