😀  Yes I am another newbie (Sorry about that) and I am currenty in the process of cahnging over my HTML archive to efiction. My question is what is a good program to get that will help with the coding, I currently use frontpage as a double check on my hand coding and I am looking for something along the same line to assist i working with the php format (As frontpage dose not supprot this) I hav ealready verified that my server does support php and sql so that should not be an issue. For me its more a matter of learning how to work in a new lauange and getting the hang of playing with the ptogram. Any help is accepted.

Thanks!

What do you want the program to do?  Dreamweaver will let you look at the code.

For working with PHP, I'm really liking PHP Designer.  It was a free download and it will debug, which is great for me since I'm new to PHP too.

You don't really need to look at the code of eFiction unless you want to modify it. Dreamweaver is good for that.

If you're new to php, I wouldn't suggest that you change anything.

Did you check your admin panel? There's a help section/documentation there. Skins get uploaded to your server (where ever you have your site files) and you can find some pre-made skins on the forums that you can edit to your liking (with credit) or even the ones included. You just edit the .tpl files as if they were HTML and edit the CSS file. If you aren't already familiar with those, then please take a look at the FAQs.

If it's skinning you're doing, I still suggest PHP designer (it does CSS, php, html, etc.)

Start your own help topic with the correct information that you are supposed to supply for help requests. There should be a template around in the General or Install board.
