I've been administrating a fanfiction archive the old fashion way for 2 years and now I think it's time to switch over to eFiction. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to eFiction and I wondering about the best way to do this, considering that my existing archive is presently hosting 340 stories (which is not enormous by any means, but still).

The main problem I see here is that if I re-upload the stories through eFiction, they will appear under my own username instead of their author's. Do I have to ask all the authors to upload their stories themselves or is there or is there a way to circumvent this problem? Trying to reach everyone to let them know about this seems like a nightmare... Also, does it really take a basic knowledge of PHP in order to manage this type of archive?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

P.S.: This is the archive I would like to convert - http://www.urbanreveries.net

If, by the "old fashion way", you mean manually ... then I think you're going to have to do it manually.

However, for efiction, as an admin you can add stories by other authors. πŸ™‚ (it's complicated to explain, easier if you have it installed)

Thanks for the input, Jenny. Now if only I can manage to install the whole thing... I tried yesterday and failed miserably... πŸ™‚
