All my informations are in my signature.

Searched for prob: yes, °° but didn't find it...

The prob is: While... before I updated the script, the story went to recent only if you updated the story putting a chapter... it went to the recent....

Now... even if you just change the title of a chapter... old... it goes back to recent... it's a new fiture?? or... something I did wrong?  😕

You should always use the Support Request Template when asking for help.

She did...

Oh dear. I meant to reply to Jan's post saying she did fill out the template, but I must have accidently edited her post.  😳 I'm very, very sorry (and embarassed). Please feel free to edit your post back to the original.

Haha, that's okay.

I never see the information in the signatures. I just glance right over them.

Well in any case, she didn't list that her site was translated.

Well, there's another bug post opened about pages not even displaying.

Some users (not ALL, some users), view a blank page when they open "Recent Stories" page, "Edit Story" page, "Edit Bio" page

https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=4686.msg27072#msg27072

I'm thinking, either modified it someway that affected it, didn't upload all the files completely, or something else, but I don't know what.

Any news on this topic? We (I mean me and Saya - see parent post)  still have this problem: a simple editing in the story features push the story itself in the"recently added" page.
If this can be useful, I noticed this particular: if someone edits anything in the title, summary, rating, warnings and so on (namely, the first page in the edit form) the story jumps in the reently adedd. On the contrary, if someone edits anything in text body, but doesn't touch the features, the story stays where it is.

Thanks!

I don't know. I haven't seen this behavior on my site.

Whn you translated the site, did you only translate the en.php file? Or did you modify something else?

Some minor changes, I think the bigger one is the one described in this post: https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=4886.msg26367#msg26367

The strange thing is that the problem of the edited stories jumping in the recently added seems to have shown up suddenly, with no apparent cause. One day, there was no problem and the day after, it just happened...

Well, you could also try re-uploading the files from the download. If you've installed mods, then backup your old files.

Already done, to no avail. The only thing I cant think of is to somehow "force" the interaction between the script and the DB, in order to send edited stories in the "recent" page, only if there is a new chapter added.
The problem is that I don't know the correct syntax and where to add this instruction.
Any suggestion?

Thanks, as usual!

Are you checking before you put your language files and mods back in place? I suspect that's where the problems so you need to check it with only the original files that came with the download BEFORE you make any changes to them.

There already is coding in place to send only new chapters and stories to the edited list. It isn't working on your site, so that means the problem is either 1) with some change you made somewhere in the files or possibly in your settings or 2) with your server. This doesn't seem like something incorrect server configuration would cause, so we need to narrow it down to the changes you made to files by starting all over with the original files.

I set a new 'ghost site', so I can work freely, without blocking the real archive. I set just the original files, and naturally it worked perfectly. After that, I imported the complete database of the actual archive, but no language files or mods, and it started again to push edited stories in the recent ones. The odd thing is that I created acouple of 'service accounts', in order to be able to post and work with a non-admin account, and the stories I posted with these new accounts DON'T end up in the recent page if only edited. They end up there just if a new chapter is added, as it should be.
What do you think? May it be something DB-related?
I really don't know what to do...

Thanks anyway!

The problem of edited old stories that jumped in the "recent stories" page has finally been solved, thanks to the update to version 3.3
Just to let you know! 😉
Thanks!
