Hi, i dont know if this is really a bug or not. I am just getitng incredibly high read counts for recently added stories. I have a large membership (nearly 500) so it is possible, and i might just be underestimting the traffic on my site (i hope so...lol)
Anyway, was just wondering if anybody else had noticed this. I am not sure it is a bug at all (i hope not) but just wanted to ask.

one example is a test story i put up as a member to check the edit options that werent working and in a few days it has a read count of 200 plus which seems rather extraordinary to me

No, that should be right. I posted a test story on my archive last week and got 169 hits. Of course, my summary was
this is a testing fic. Please disregard.
and the classifications are ones no one would want to read about. Your summary doesn't necessarily convey that you're testing the archive, and not a story out to see what people think.
When I upgraded, I gave 20 hits to every chapter that already existed on the archive.
Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.
