Hi, I tried searching by character in advanced search and it came back with none of the fics I was looking for.
http://www.marvelfanfiction.com is my site, specifically http://www.marvelfanfiction.com/search.php?searchtype=advanced.
I have 3.2.1 (downloaded and installed efiction last week).
Thanks,
Kaz
Thanks hun. π
The advanced search for characters seems to not filter any results. I get the same results for the most popular character, and selecting a less popular character.

A few of my members (including me) cannot get the Advanced Search to work when searching based on Character or Rating. All other parameters (Warnings, Genre, etc.) in all other combinations work just fine and return the expected results, but when we try to search based on Character or Rating, a list of all of the stories posted is returned.

I appreciate any help or advice anyone can give. π
Weird. I can't help (I think it's possible that this is a known bug that will be corrected soon), but if you use the browse feature of
Ratings:
http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/browse.php?type=ratings
or Character:
http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/browse.php?type=characters
they seem to work pretty decently and you might just suggest that for your members until the advanced search gets resolved.
If you just make a link to
http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/browse.php
It will list lots of other browsable features also.

Ack, yes, that's it. My forum search was for "advanced search character rating," so I didn't find that. Thanks for pointing it out. Thanks, too, babaca, for the Browse suggestion. That's what I'll do until 3.3 comes out. π
Since you marked this solved, I'll just merge it with the bug post so I can remmeber to ask you if it's fixed when 3.3 comes out. π
