I just got this email
Hello!
I would just like to inform you that I've tried signing up to be a member a few times, but the site always says that I've entered the security number wrong, which I haven't. Is there like a special cookie I need to have installed in order to make an account?
Now, other members have been able to sign up, and I as an admin can add new people.
What do I tell this person?

Create an account for them using their e-mail.
E-mail them asking what name they want.
Create the account with the name and the e-mail and release it through the admin panel.

That was my initial thought too, of course. But if people can't join, then that's an issue, right?
I want people to be able to join the archive without my having to add them.

You said that other people can join up. This one member is probably just having vision problems with the captcha script. π You can either disable it, or just sign them up yourself. I'd do the latter.
Try registering yourself as a new member, not as an admin but as a visitor, and see if it works.

Well, I registered just fine, so it's an issue with her. And yes, I did make her an account as admin. Hopefully that will be a once in a blue moon thing.

It's prolly some setting with the user's browser, my first guess would be how they have their security settings set in their browser. I have a user that can't see anything flash or javascript related and it's cause of her browser settings.

Moving to solved... if you discover a problem in the script about this issue please open a new bug report. π Thank you.
