poll results display code

I'm not seeing any code.

I went and took all the html off of the choices last night through phpmyadmin because no one could vote. there used to be <a href=""">" around each title and around each author. The second to last choice appeared only halfway so there was no last choice and no submit button. Somehow I managed to submit my one score as an admin when I first made it, but no one else could vote or see it.

Now, the results are just empty, all 0%, in the archive.

Not sure anything can be done here since the problem was removed before we could take a look at fixing it. 

I was about to update this. I'll be able to test it again with the code after the current poll has been closed. I had to edit it because no one could vote at all. I had already sent out newletters about it to my 1000+ members about the poll and personalized letters to the authors letting them know that the poll was up and how long it would be up for (2 weeks).

To recreate this, this is what the code looked like.

It posted fine, the admin poll had everything fine and I was able to vote. Later on, I noticed that the poll results hadn't changed at all from since I voted, even though over a day had gone by and I sent the messages out. I logged out and discovered the problem. The Poll Selections did not appear fully. After number... I believe it was 6, it only listed half of the selection, the story by, no author and then selection 7 was missing completely. The Submit button and the Poll Results/Poll Archive links were missing as well, I'm sure the Submit button was but the Poll Results might have been showing up as well.

I went into phpmyadmin, thinking that maybe I had too many characters for the box with all the html. The code was saved in the box in its entirety so it wasn't that.

I edited in phpmyadmin to take all the html off and after that it appeared fine and people could vote again.

In a week and two days I'll be able to put up a dummy code to test it.

Yeah...it's really not supposed to let you put HTML in there at all.  It even says so.

Yup, I know. It also said that it would strip the html out.

I was able to put html in it before, with about 5 choices, and it was fine. So I figured I'd try it again and see if it would work; Test the stripping out, and if it didn't, then I'd have the links. It seemed to work at first.

Okay I think I figured this out. 

Open poll.php and on line 75 change $opt to strip_tags($opt) and you should see the poll results correctly after voting.  Also line 60 of pollarchive.php.  These changes will be in the next update.

Bump.  This should be fixed with 3.1.
