I had a problem with this before back here, but it was moved to 'solved' and if the problem came back I was told to open a new error report, so here I am.
I was using 3.2.1 and someone emailed me letting me know that the CAPTCHA was not reading properly. It worked fine for everyone else and I made an account for them through the admin options.
I have since upgraded to 3.3, and the CAPTCHA broke, so I uploaded the new 3.3 version.
Today I tried to make a test account and it says the CAPTCHA doesn't match, but I know it does.

Did you try downloading the Captcha script off of Tammy's website? It's labeled Basic CAPTCHA and you have to be logged in to be able to download it.

I had this error, and followed the suggestion in this thread, made my save_path and save_cookie in php.ini point to real folders:

Yeah, but then you got a SQL error, so it doesn't seem like a reasonable fix. I just turned CAPTCHA off for now.
