After recently upgrading to 3.1 from 2.0.7 I receive the following error when going to view all members on the member list on my site:
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: Resource id #40
Error: (1064) You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Resource id #40' at line 1
You can see it here: http://fictionally-yours.com/authors.php?list=members
But viewing admins and authors seems to be fine.
Did you fix this? I'm not getting any errors when I go to the link you provided on any of the lists.
I'm getting the same problem on my site
http://www.tarlanx.co.uk/authors.php?action=list
I upgraded it to 3.1 yesterday - it was working in 3.0.2.
I noticed the originator is not having the problem anymore so was wondering how to fix this.
I added AUTHORS to the menu and selecting that works fine. It's just MEMBERS that seems to have this problem.
I'm not getting an error at your site either.
I'm not getting an error at anyone's site, including my own.
How are you getting to the error page? I clicked on the links you provided and then changed the pull down menu to other things.
I tested clicking on the Authors link and the Members link. Still no errors.

Yeah I don't have any errors at my own sites either.
That's odd, I checked just now and am receiving the error still. Clearing my cache and refreshing, I still receive the same error.
EDIT: I think I know what it might be, I'm not receiving the error on Tarlan's website---possibly because I'm not logged in on that site. I'm currently logged into my own (as admin) and receive the error. Logging out of my site and viewing the list, it's fine.
Try it on your websites, I'm not sure if it's when you're simply logged in, or if you're logged in as admin. Visit your members list and attempt viewing All Members.
Nope. Logged in, logged out. Logged in as admin, logged in as test member. Not getting an error on any of them.
Now that is REALLY weird as it had been coming up with that error since the upgrade to 3.1...and now it has gone!
I cannot think of anything I might have done to fix it as I deliberately stepped away from that site as soon as I sent the URL...and I had cleared my cache several times over the past day or two just in case it was a caching error - even manually deleted cached files.
Oh well...it it happens with the next archive I upgrade then I'll just give it a few days to settle.

I just tried this and...yep...the error's back as soon as I logged in.
I logged out and the error disappeared.
I just signed up for an account on your site, and I still can't get it to show me the error...on both your sites. If one of you wants to make that account and admin I'll try again.
I gave you full admin privileges.
I don't get that error on my site and I was signed in when I checked. I just logged out and back in and i'm not getting the error no matter what I do. π

Okay. Logging in as admin on your site, I do get the errors. Still can't get them to come up on any of my sites though.
This seems to be now solved with Tammy's update π Thanks Tammy!
@Tarlan download the latest .zip and just upload authors.php and see if it's been fixed for you as well.
