Installation successful and then?

I have downloaded and installed the v5.0 installer and all went fine.

Now it's finished but I just see the installer site. See attached screenshot.

Do I miss something here?

How to go to the Admin site, how to set categories, characters, etc up?

Thank you for any advise.

P.S.: I might add that this is a fresh install, not an upgrade.

I've been finally working with E Fic 5 and noticed some bugs after the upgrade. All installations worked successfully.

1) During install if you don't install the contest module you will get an error in the backend when installation is complete. The Archive area will be absent and won't display the categories within it. Hence this bug:

* This one is resolved I just added the two tables: Contest and Contest_Relations and input the setting into the config via the optional modules table. {"recommendations":1,"contests":1,"shoutbox":1,"poll":1,"tracker":1}

2) Can't post news can add headline but can't post the actual news and even though the date is right when you post it it shows wrong on the frontend. Hence this error:

3) Can post stories fine but no updates show not sure why maybe cause i just imported it but word count works then it just lists 1.

4) The categories widget shows but when click no actual stories are produced.

5) User control panel can't add story chapter. does this mean I need to add a table cause in the admin panel I can add a new chapter. So must be error in the coding of the user control panel.

This is pretty much all the errors I found. If I find any more will post them here cause I didn't see a page for it.

So the install went through and added the vaporware but I am getting the following errors

Hello!
Sorry to bother you again! At last, I managed to install eFiction5 on my localhost (so I think that my previous installation failures were Altervista's fault) and everything went well. I downloaded files for efiction vaporware and put them on my localhost site, but when trying to open index.php I get the following error:

include(data/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
 Base->{closure}()
 Config::__construct()
 Config->__construct()

In my data folder, there is a config.ini file, but no config.php file. Am I missing something?

EF5 Upgrade Issue

Hi there,

I was trying to upgrade my website to Efiction 5, But I am stuck. My error is

Internal Server Error

Constant _CHARSET already defined

Okay, I skipped Step 0, and everythings going well until Step 3:

I get this error.

I skipped this error too, and in Step 4, im clicking the link for continue the upgrade and its sending me to the very beginning of the installer tool.

And I really dont get it all. Can somebody help me? Thanks!

"open_basedir restriction in effect" when installing eFiction5

Hello,
last week I tried to install eFiction5, but I encountered some errors. First of all, I have to say that my site is hosted in some sort of "limited" host site (Altervista), so I don't have full access on directories or on htaccess.
I download the installer project from GitHub and copied all files and folders on my site root folder, then I try to open "index.php", but I get a 500 error:

Internal Server Error

realpath(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/html) is not within the allowed path(s): (/membri/heartbreakerz/:/membri2/heartbreakerz/:/membri/.dummy/)

I supposed that the installer tries to write something on those folder, but I don't have write permission and so it raise an exception.
Am I doing something wrong? Are there any other steps I should do before opening "index.php" (if it is the correct step, of course)?

Can't Install EFiction 5

So I don't know if I should put this topic here, if I've put it in the wrong forum, please move it. Anyway I can't upgrade to Efiction 5, this is what I've put in;


DB driver: SQL

This is the error I get;

 Failed to connect to database Server.
Last error was: SQLSTATE  Access denied for user 'cl60-rilesluc'@'%' to database 'cl60rilesluc'

Please help me with this, as I'm lost and it's frustrating me. Oh and I got the install zip from github.
